Our Story

Puzzlevia was born out of a simple frustration: creating puzzle books for Etsy and Amazon KDP was tedious. Designing each puzzle page by hand, formatting for KDP's exacting trim sizes, assembling a 200-page PDF that looked professional — it took days for what should take minutes.

We built Puzzlevia to solve exactly that problem. A browser-based tool that generates high-quality, print-ready puzzle PDFs instantly — no design skills, no software downloads, no waiting in server queues.

Our Technology

Puzzlevia runs on a Laravel backend with a sophisticated client-side JavaScript puzzle engine. Each puzzle type uses a unique algorithm:

• Mazes use iterative DFS (Depth-First Search) for fully-connected, single-solution maze generation.
• Circle mazes use polar coordinate ring/sector systems with the same DFS approach.
• Crosswords use constraint-satisfaction placement algorithms.
• Solution pages are generated via BFS (Breadth-First Search) solving on the same seeded random state.

PDFs are assembled server-side using mPDF for perfect, print-ready output at every page size.
